The Dammuso is a typical building that originated in the Bronze Age with the so-called cumulus built by the Sesioti and which later the Arabs in 837 AD transformed into a rectangular house with the characteristic domed roof.

African atmosphere for a dammuso that rises outside the town with a view of the sea through a magnificent and wild landscape that smells of myrtle and wild oregano. At dawn the sun peeks out from behind the lighthouse of the east; at dusk the intermittent flashlight blends with the distant lights of the island of Linosa.
At sunset the large surrounding spaces are tinged with all shades of red creating an enchanted atmosphere.
